Team Leader - Special Operations (525317)

The role:<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n

• Responsible for supporting the Manager, Emergency Management and Special Operation through the provision of specialist advice regarding strategic and policy issues impacting on the effective delivery of special operations in Ambulance Tasmania.<\/span>

• Lead and facilitate projects related to the implementation of special operations capabilities, strategy, and policy across Ambulance Tasmania, working in collaboration with key stakeholders.<\/span>
  
  <\/li>\n
• Responsible for the ongoing review of the AT special operations framework including, but not limited to, mass casualty, urban search and rescue, wilderness, and chemical, biological, radiological, and nuclear (CBRN) response capabilities.<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n

  Details of Appointment<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n

  Permanent full time, day worker (with on-call) position working 76 hours per fortnight, commencing as soon as possible<\/span><\/p>\n

    Salary:<\/strong> $124,371 - $130,905 per annum. Our Employer 11% superannuation contribution is on top of this amount.<\/span><\/p>\n

    You\u2019ll have access to salary package a range of benefits including living expenses up to $9,010 + $2,650 in meal entertainment each FBT year + other benefits if eligible.<\/span><\/p>\n

      1. Current Driver Licence<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ol>\n

         *Registration\/licences that are essential requirements of this role must remain current and valid at all times whilst employed in this role and the status of these may be checked at any time during employment. It is the employee\u2019s responsibility to ensure that registration\/licences remain current and to advise the Employer if their circumstances change. This includes notifying the Employer if a registration\/licence is revoked, cancelled or has its conditions altered.<\/span><\/p>\n

         Applicants should note the following criteria are desirable:<\/span><\/p>\n

         • Tertiary qualification in emergency management.<\/span><\/li>\n
         • Qualification and\/or experience in incident management, particularly the Australasian Inter-Service Incident Management System (AIIMS) or Major Incident Medical Management System (MIMMS), or the ability to obtain a qualification and\/or experience in incident management.<\/span><\/li>\n
         • Qualification and\/or experience in ambulance special operations, or the ability to obtain a qualification and\/or experience in ambulance special operations.<\/span><\/li>\n
         • Relevant experience working in areas of emergency management, safety, training, and quality.<\/span><\/li>\n
         • Current Negative Vetting \u2013 Level 1 security clearance, or the ability to obtain an appropriate security clearance.<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n
