OPS - Dairy Cattle Research Study

The Department of Animal Sciences is seeking two highly motivated and detail-oriented individuals to join our dynamic team as an OPS for dairy cattle feeding research study. The successful candidate will play a crucial role in the execution of feeding management protocols, sample collection, and processing to contribute to the advancement of our understanding of dairy cattle nutrition. <\/p>\n

Key Responsibilities:<\/strong><\/p>\n

1. Feeding Management:<\/strong><\/li>\n
   \n
   • Implement feeding and feed sampling protocols for dairy cattle in accordance with the research study objectives.<\/li>\n
   • Maintain records of feed composition, consumption, and related variables.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n
   • Sample Collection:<\/strong><\/li>\n
     \n
     • Execute planned sampling activities, including feed, feces, digesta, and blood, ensuring compliance with study protocols.<\/li>\n
     • Coordinate with the research team to schedule and perform timely sample collections.<\/li>\n
     • Implement quality control measures to ensure the integrity of collected samples.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n
     • Sample Processing:<\/strong><\/li>\n
       \n
       • Organize and prepare collected samples for laboratory analysis, following standardized procedures.<\/li>\n
       • Operate relevant equipment for sample processing, such as centrifuges, and moisture analyzers.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n
       • Field Work:<\/strong><\/li>\n
         \n
         • Individual will be working at University of Florida Dairy unit.<\/li>\n
         • Participate in regular team meetings to discuss progress, challenges, and adjustments to protocols.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/ol>\n

           This position will work 30-40 hours per week.<\/p>\n<\/td>\n<\/tr>\n

$15.00 per hour<\/p>\n<\/td>\n<\/tr>\n
