About the RoleThe Director of Medical Student Education role within the Department of Medical Education at the University of Melbourne's Melbourne Medical School focuses on overseeing the Doctor of Medicine (MD) program at the St Vincent’s Clinical School site, located at St Vincent’s Hospital Melbourne. Classification Title: CLIN AST PROF Job Description: The University of Florida Emergency & Critical Care service is inviting applicants for a faculty position in Emergency & Critical Care to join our existing team of 16 faculty members (8 criticalists and 8 full time ER DVMs), along with a 10 strong resident team and an amazing nursing staff including several VTS-ECC. The successful applicant for this position will join an established team of ECC clinicians and will work in a progressive and collaborative service, the position will be primarily based in our VECCS Level 1 and AAHA certified hospital in Gainesville. ECC at UF also runs a busy extracorporeal therapy service including intermittent hemodialysis, CRRT, therapeutic plasma exchange and hemoperfusion – if this is not currently in your skillset then this is a great opportunity to learn some new techniques! We have a minimum of 2 criticalists on duty each day at our Gainesville hospital allowing for collaboration and sharing of ideas. You will be involved in primary patient care, along with instruction and supervision of DVM students, interns and residents. We put a lot of emphasis on student education and offer three unique clinical rotations for DVM students – Emergency Medicine at the Ocala location, and separate ER and Critical Care focused rotations in Gainesville. Applicants will be expected to develop a program of scholarly activity; the balance between clinical, teaching and research assignment will depend on the qualifications of the applicant and is negotiable. This is a non-tenure accruing position.
