Classification Title: Clinical Assistant/Associate Professor, Periodontology Job Description: The University of Florida College of Dentistry (UFCD) is recruiting a full-time, non-tenure accruing Clinical Assistant/Associate Professor in the Department of Periodontology. The University of Florida College of Dentistry (UFCD) is one of the leading dental schools in the United States devoted to improving and promoting oral health throughout Florida, the nation and worldwide through excellence in teaching, research, patient care and service. Responsibilities for this position will center on pre-doctoral and graduate level didactic, pre-clinical and clinical instruction, participation in intramural faculty practice, and include opportunities for research collaboration. This is a full-time (1.0 FTE), 12-month position. Academic rank will be commensurate with experience and qualifications. Candidates should have demonstrated commitment to excellence in academic health services research spanning teaching, research, mentorship, and service. Ideal candidates will have experience and expertise applying their skills in studying health policy, payment policy, and access to care to health professions such as occupational therapy, physical therapy, clinical psychology, etc. As a department within the College of Public Health and Health Professions, we seek candidates who will contribute to both the department and the College's growing research portfolio. Tenured faculty are expected to secure approximately 50% salary support from extramural funding, contribute to the research mentorship of junior faculty, and assist with developing our PhD students. In addition, the candidate will be expected to teach upper-division undergraduate and/or graduate-level courses that support the Master in Health Administration, Master in Public Health, and/or Ph.D. programs.
