    Master's degree in an appropriate area; or a bachelor's degree in an appropriate area and two years of relevant experience.
    Job Description:

    The Clinical Case Manager described herein function as a member of a multidisciplinary team (headquartered in Lake City, Florida) organized to provide and coordinate services for victims of child abuse and neglect and their families.

    This position will travel to all counties in the catchment area to provide CAC services in rural communities.

    About this Position

    • Provides case management and individual advocacy to all CAC clients and their families in UF Child Protection Team (CPT) catchment area.
    • Provides evaluation and crisis counseling as needed for clients. Generates reports and releases service findings to appropriate agencies. Provides face to face information and referral to appropriate local resources for counseling and / or medical needs. Provides follow-up contact on all CAC cases. Provides coverage to satellite offices as needed. Provides victim compensation forms to all VOCA clients and their families and provides assistance in the completion of these forms. Participates in community outreach for the UFCAC. Attends a variety of Community Meetings in the UF CAC catchment area.
    • Serves as an intake coordinator for CPT. Participates in phone calls vetted from the Department of Children and Families, Law Enforcement, UF Health Medical and Social Work staff and other community partners of the UF CPT catchment area. Completes referrals in a CPT state-wide database or internal electronic file system by synthesizing information from multiple agencies (and databases) to review with medical staff, team coordinator and other team personnel to determine appropriate assessments that are needed. Triages cases based on established criteria to determine best possible scheduling option. Reviews prior cases on families to determine current level of risk to the children in the home. Provide detailed yet concise clinical case information to the multidisciplinary team. Enters data timely and accurately in statewide database using correct grammar and college level writing skills. Familiarized with Florida State Statue Chapter 39 and work closely with medical director or designee to consult on cases for exceptions to mandatory reports and referrals. Schedules needed assessments for families involved in Department of Children and Families and Law Enforcement investigations for multiple clinic sites utilizing shared Microsoft outlook calendars. Notifies all community partners involved with the case of appointment date and time. Completes rescheduling of appointments.
    • Acts as a receptionist for the CPT/CAC office, seating patients and delivering paperwork. Maintains client records consistent with program requirements. Follow up with community partners to ensure CPT and CAC have provided all necessary services and documentation. Gather any additional information from community partners to assist with cases. Participates in peer review and case staffings as needed. Travels to outlying areas to provide court testimony as required and to conduct training to school age children.
    • Must possess a valid driver’s license and reliable transportation.
    Expected Salary:

    $48,000-53,000
    Required Qualifications:

    Master's degree in an appropriate area; or a bachelor's degree in an appropriate area and two years of relevant experience.
    Preferred
    EDUCATION & TRAINING:
    - BA or MA degree of psychology, social work, nursing, or another behavioral science.
    - Completion/certification in APSAC Forensic Interviewing training within one (1) year of employment (required)
    - Completion of VOCA Victim Advocate designation training within one (1) year of employment.
    EXPERIENCE:
    - At least two (2) years of experience working with children and families (required) with one (1) year of that experience involving work with abused and neglected children.
    KNOWLEDGE:
    -Familiar with the Florida Child Welfare system.
    SKILLS:
    - Ability to type 35 CWM.
    - Ability to pass PC skills test.
    - Ability to use critical thinking to prioritize daily task and duties to ensure the needs of community partners and families in crisis are met.
    - Proficiency in Microsoft Office.
    - Ability to navigate multiple job specific databases.
    - Possess college-level writing skills.
    - Ability to multi-task.
    ABILITIES:
    - Ability to perform under stress when confronted with emergency, critical, or unusual situations.
    - Ability to deal with periodic pressures and levels of responsibility.
    - Ability to make independent judgments without supervision.
    - Ability to make generalizations, evaluations, or decisions based on sensory or judgmental criteria.
    - Ability to work with people beyond giving and receiving instructions.
    OTHER QUALIFICATIONS:
    - Adaptability to perform a variety of duties, often changing from one task to another of a different nature without loss of efficiency or composure.
    - Twenty (20) hours continuing education is required per year during employment in this job.
