Launceston General Hospital (LGH) is committed to all people needing our service and building on our core CARE principles. LGH is a 300 bed Regional Hospital teaching hospital situated in North of Tasmania, with a strong focus on education and specialist care. With a growing number of new Consultants to the region the opportunity to be a part of a new wave of healthcare in Launceston awaits. The population catchment for the Launceston General Hospital of approximately 250 000, extends from the Northwest to the east coast of Tasmania. The LGH is unique it the level of tertiary specialist medical services it has for a regional hospital, as such we see a wide range of presentations and complex medical imaging cases.

Details of Appointment

Fixed term, casual, day worker, shift-worker position working as and when required, commencing at your earliest availability for a period of 12 months.

*notwithstanding hours may be negotiated with the successful applicant

Salary: $106,966 to $123,013 pro rata, per annum. Our Employer 11% superannuation contribution is on top of this amount.

You’ll have access to salary package a range of benefits including living expenses up to $9,010 + $2,650 in meal entertainment each FBT year + other benefits if eligible.

Eligibility:

Successful applicants will be required to meet the essential criteria:

  1. Registered with the Medical Radiation Practice Board of Australia.

Applicants should note the following criteria are desirable:

  1. Post graduate study in advanced medical imaging or other relevant major.
  2. Professional development in areas relevant to the role.

The Head of the State Service has determined that the person nominated for this job is to satisfy a pre‑employment check before taking up the appointment, on promotion or transfer. The following checks are to be conducted:

  1. Conviction checks in the following areas:
  1. crimes of violence
  2. sex related offences
  3. serious drug offences
  4. crimes involving dishonesty
  1. Identification check
  2. Disciplinary action in previous employment check.
