We are seeking a senior allied health professional with experience in complex case management, assessment, counselling and/or therapy, and within mental health or relevant/related sector would be ideal. You would be working within a well-supported, diverse multidisciplinary team to provide, clinical co-ordination, assessment and developmentally appropriate therapeutic interventions to meet the needs of young people and their families/significant others who present with very high and complex care needs.

This newly created role will be supporting an identified cohort of young people and the people/services involved in their care. These children and young people who have complex mental health issues, experience and face a difficult future and warrant specialist expertise to intervene as early as possible to change their life trajectory and bring about better quality of life outcomes.

Our Aim:

The Child and Youth Mental Health Service in Tasmania is growing! We are seeking passionate and dedicated senior clinicians to provide clinical services to children, young people and their families/significant others experiencing complex mental health concerns. These new positions will work alongside existing CAMHS services and have been developed as initiatives under the CAMHS reform program (Youth, Youth Forensic, Out of Home Care).

The Regional Complex Case Coordinator will have a passion for providing a person-centred approach and working within a multidisciplinary team environment, providing high level clinical coordination.

Details of Appointment

Fixed term full time day worker position working 76 hours per fortnight, commencing as soon as possible for a period of twelve months.

*notwithstanding hours may be negotiated with the successful applicant

Salary: $120,114 - $130,181 per annum. Our Employer 11% superannuation contribution is on top of this amount.

In addition, the following allowances calculated on the salaried incremental point may be available:

Eligibility:

Successful applicants will be required to meet the essential criteria:

  1. Registered with the Psychology Board of Australia, or,
  2. Degree in Social Work giving eligibility for membership of the Australian Association of Social Workers.
  3. Current Tasmanian Working with Children Registration.
  4. Current Driver’s Licence

Applicants should note the following criteria are desirable:

  1. A minimum of 3 years current post graduate experience in a field relevant to the position
  2. Holds, or is working towards, post graduate qualifications relevant to the position

The Head of the State Service has determined that the person nominated for this job is to satisfy a pre‑employment check before taking up the appointment, on promotion or transfer. The following checks are to be conducted:
