About The Medical Device Partnering Program (MDPP)

The Medical Device Partnering Program (MDPP) is a long-standing program led by Flinders University, which focuses on developing innovative medical devices. Led by Professor Karen Reynolds, the program provides a mechanism to develop proof of concept, prototyping, clinical evaluation and commercialisation planning. The aim of the program is to take a multidisciplinary approach, allowing clients to leverage the best expertise, perspectives and networks to progress their ideas. Projects that go through the MDPP Ideas Incubator have a strong commercial focus and are in response to industry-driven problems.

About the Role

We have had an exciting opening come up for an Innovations Manager to join our team within the The Medical Device Partnering Program (MDPP). The Innovations Manager will manage client liaison and advice, screening of project proposals and research project selection processes. Furthermore, the Innovations Manager will contribute to strategic activities and assist with the growth of the program.

About You

As the successful candidate with demonstrated management and commercial experience, you will be able to drive strategic growth within the MDPP. You will have well-developed project management and organisational skills, including high attention to detail, accurate record keeping and the ability to manage conflicting priorities. You will have excellent interpersonal skills, giving you the capacity to work effectively with senior executives from industry, government, and the University. You will be capable of exercising a high degree of independent judgement and initiative.
