The hospital:<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n

Smithton District Hospital (SDH) is small sized sub-acute public hospital located in Smithton Tasmania. It services the whole Circular Head region with a catchment population of 8000 people. <\/span><\/p>\n

The Hospital has 12 subacute beds accommodating general medicine, post-acute, palliative and end of life care. We have a 3 bay Emergency First Response unit staffed by nurses and General Practitioners (Rural Medical Practitioners) who are contracted to provide on call medical services. No surgery is performed at this hospital. <\/span><\/p>\n

SDH offer outpatient services including low risk chemotherapy and supportive treatments for cancer patients, blood products and iron transfusions for acute and chronic conditions. <\/span><\/p>\n

SDH also provides twice weekly midwifery (antenatal) clinics. <\/span><\/p>\n

The role:<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n

  The Enrolled Nurse provides direct patient\/client centred nursing care to assigned patients\/clients, within the scope of practice of an enrolled nurse and under the direction and supervision of a registered nurse\/midwife to achieve planned patient outcomes.<\/span><\/p>\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n

  Details of Appointment<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n

  Fixed term, casual, shift-worker position working as and when required, commencing as soon as you are able to join the team for a period of 12 months<\/span><\/p>\n

    Salary:<\/strong> $68,913 to $75,902 pro rata, per annum. Our Employer 11% superannuation contribution is on top of this amount.<\/span><\/p>\n

    You\u2019ll have access to salary package a range of benefits including living expenses up to $9,010 + $2,650 in meal entertainment each FBT year + other benefits if eligible.<\/span><\/p>\n

    In addition, the following allowances calculated on the salaried incremental point may be available: <\/span><\/p>\n

    • Remote and Rural Professional Development Allowance of an additional salary allowance of 4% <\/span><\/li>\n
    • Post Graduate Allowance of up to 7.5% based on qualification type
      <\/span><\/li>\n
    • Salary range is in accordance with Nurses and Midwives (Tasmanian State Service) Agreement 2023<\/em><\/span><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n

         Registered with the Nursing and Midwifery Board of Australia as an Enrolled Nurse (holds a Board-approved qualification in administration of medicines)<\/span><\/p>\n<\/li>\n

         Current Tasmanian Working with Children Registration<\/span><\/p>\n<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n

         *Registration\/licences that are essential requirements of this role must remain current and valid at all times whilst employed in this role and the status of these may be checked at any time during employment. It is the employee\u2019s responsibility to ensure that registration\/licences remain current and to advise the Employer if their circumstances change. This includes notifying the Employer if a registration\/licence is revoked, cancelled or has its conditions altered.<\/em><\/span><\/p>\n
