We are seeking an experienced Clinical Nurse Specialist (CNS) Paediatric Mental Health Nurse to join our Paediatric Unit located at the North West Regional Hospital.

The Clinical Nurse Specialist - Mental Health Acute Paediatric Unit, will be part of a multidisciplinary team delivering person centred, recovery orientated and trauma informed care, in accordance with the National Standards for Mental Health Services, Agency policy, legal requirements and relevant professional competencies.

The successful candidate will work in partnership with the Nurse Unit Manager and the Paediatric Consultant Child and Adolescent Psychiatrist and other senior staff, to ensure the efficient and effective provision of care on a designated shift, based on best practice principles and within a collaborative and multidisciplinary framework.

Details of Appointment

Permanent, full time, day worker position, working 76 hours per fortnight

*notwithstanding hours may be negotiated with the successful applicant

Salary: $103,466 - $108,165 per annum. Our Employer 11% superannuation contribution is on top of this amount.

You’ll have access to salary package a range of benefits including living expenses up to $9,010 + $2,650 in meal entertainment each FBT year + other benefits if eligible.

In addition, the following allowances calculated on the salaried incremental point may be available:

Successful applicants will be required to meet the essential criteria:

  1. Registered with the Nursing and Midwifery Board of Australia as a Registered Nurse
  2. Current Working with Children Registration

Applicants should note the following criteria are desirable:

  1. Holds or is working towards relevant post graduate qualifications
  2. Previous experience in leadership roles
