WHAT IS A CREATIVE MARKETS ANALYST?

This is a brand-new role within the FanDuel Trading Team focused on highlighting the most exciting markets during the game and in real-time which we call ‘The Pulse’. You will help our customers get the biggest storylines in a fun / interactive way live during the game with new quick bets added as the action unfolds, so they won’t miss a beat when their team is lighting up the scoreboard. Central to this role is both the operation of internal tools, as well as broader stakeholder collaboration to ensure the smooth operation of the product. Expert coaching will be provided to ensure the successful candidate is well supported and given the opportunity to thrive professionally.

WHAT WOULD I BE DOING?

• Operate the platform on the biggest names & games – think Thursday Night Football, College Football Saturdays, Sunday Night Baseball, nationally televised NBA games.
• Monitor social networks and media channels to merchandise the most relevant narrative bets based on the biggest sports stories.
• Key to operating our proprietary tool is identifying the betting patterns/opportunities from internal data and highlighting with creative copy and flair.
• Collaborate with Global Trading Team to understand the most suitable selections to surface and what key players, teams and markets are trending
• Regular reporting analysis and insights on the performance of the product to help inform future direction.

WHO ARE WE LOOKING FOR?

We are looking for people who are passionate about the intersection between US sports narratives, copy writing and live US sports betting. The ideal candidate will have a broad knowledge about the biggest teams and names in US Sports. If you can and you are organised, have a high attention to detail and LOVE watching live US sports then we can teach you the rest.

Can you name the player from the Boston Celtics with the most rebounds per game this season? Can you tell us who scored the last points for the 49ers in Super Bowl LVIII? Or do you know who the top Goal Scorer of the NHL is this season? Then this would be the perfect role for you!

There is a requirement to work some weekend shifts when US sport is played but we offer flexible hours. This is a hybrid position that requires a mix of in-office presence and an ability to work from home. As you start your journey with the FanDuel team, a lot of the shifts to begin with will be from the office on Collins Street, Melbourne with rotating roster / shifts falling between 8am to 6.30pm, allowing you to still have your nights!

WHAT DO I NEED TO DO THIS JOB?

• A wide knowledge and interest in all main US sports, you need to know big names; big teams; big storylines.
• Familiarity with social networks and traditional sports media channels.
• A willingness to learn about sports betting and all the terminology that comes with it.
• A natural talent for snappy and creative copy writing to promote markets and ensure highly engaging content for our customers.
• Strong written, verbal communication and research skills are a must.
