Hobart is a small but vibrant city with many cultural activities at your doorstep. Tasmania offers an envious lifestyle with some of the most amazing natural attractions, a wide range of opportunities, quality education systems, short commutes, exceptional food, wine and local beer. If moving interstate, we recognise this can be a big decision and we will provide the right candidate with relocation support.

Duties

The successful candidate will provide a senior level orthoptic clinical assessment and treatment to out-patients and referred in-patients. Duties will include assessment of paediatric and adult strabismus, triaging paediatric referrals, visual field testing, biometry assessment, OCT imaging and patient screening, and supporting a small team of tech staff in performance of visual fields, OCT, RFAs, photography, A scans, and screening of patients in readiness for doctors’ examinations.

The job will suit an Orthoptist with experience in paediatric and adult ocular motility. But also, a highly motivated Orthoptist looking to improve their ocular motility and strabismus knowledge and skills.
