Senior Orthotist/Prosthetist (510771)

The role:<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n

In consultation with the Orthotic Prosthetic Services Tasmania (OPST) State and Regional Managers you will be responsible for:
<\/span><\/p>\n

\n
• Providing leadership to the orthotic and\/or prosthetic clinical teams within OPST.<\/span><\/li>\n
• Coordinating the provision of an efficient and effective orthotic and\/or prosthetic service, which includes facilitating consumer-perspectives in service design, and providing support and training for clinical, technical and administrative teams.<\/span><\/li>\n
• Providing client-centered, evidence-based orthotic and prosthetic services for clients, involving effective collaboration with peer services, interdisciplinary teams and referrers.<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n

  You'll be working within the Burnie Regional Hospital within an immediate team of two and a broader state-wide team of twenty five.<\/span><\/p>\n

  Details of Appointment<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n

  Permanent, full time, day worker position working 76 hours per fortnight, commencing as soon as possible. <\/span><\/p>\n

    Salary:<\/strong> $106,966 - $123,013 per annum. Our Employer 11% superannuation contribution is on top of this amount.<\/span><\/p>\n

    You\u2019ll have access to salary package a range of benefits including living expenses up to $9,010 + $2,650 in meal entertainment each FBT year + other benefits if eligible.<\/span><\/p>\n

    In addition, the following allowances calculated on the salaried incremental point may be available: <\/span><\/p>\n

    • Professional Development Allowance of up to $1000 per annum <\/span><\/span><\/li>\n
    • Please note that access to salaries beyond $115,573 is subject to qualifications and\/or application to the personal upgrade scheme<\/span><\/li>\n
    • Salary range is in accordance with the Allied Health Professionals Public Sector Unions Wages Agreement No. 2 of 2022<\/em><\/span><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n

      Successful applicants will be required to meet the essential criteria:<\/span><\/p>\n

      1. Tertiary qualifications in Orthotics and Prosthetics, and evidence of membership of the Australian Orthotic Prosthetic Association<\/li>\n
      2. Current Registration to Work with Vulnerable People<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n

         2. Post-graduate qualifications relevant to the requirements of the position<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n
