Job Description:

A fixed-term employment register is not a vacancy and inclusion on a register does not guarantee any offer of employment will be made.

The Senior Allied Health Professional Employment Register is established to provide the Department of Health with a pool of experienced and skilled people who are able to work at short notice. Interested persons are able to submit their application to be considered for duties on a fixed-term or casual basis.

This Register will remain open to applicants until 30 June 2025 and will be reviewed on a regular basis.

Please note that the Register will not preclude other Senior Allied Health Professional positions being advertised if warranted. Current vacancies are available on the www.jobs.tas.gov.au website.

Salary

$103,608 to $114,431 per annum

  • Please note that access to the progression point of Year 5Q salary of $114,431 is subject to the successful completion of a relevant Graduate Diploma.

Location

Duties

Provide an efficient and effective allied health service to the patients and clients of the Department of Health at a senior and/or specialist level within the allocated work area(s).

Essential Requirements

  • Satisfactory completion of an appropriate course of study at a recognised tertiary institution and registered with the relevant Board or, in the case of unregulated professions, eligible for membership of the relevant professional association.

The Head of the State Service has determined that the person nominated for this job is to satisfy a pre‑employment check before taking up the appointment, on promotion or transfer. The following checks are to be conducted:

1. Conviction checks in the following areas:

a) Crimes of Violence
b) Sex Related Offences
c) Serious Drug Offences
d) Crimes involving dishonesty

2. Identification check

3. Disciplinary action in previous employment check.

4. Current Tasmanian Working with Children Registration for some roles

Desirable Requirements

  • Current Driver’s Licence
