Job Description:
Systems:
Ensure proper configuration and maintenance of IFAS’ portion of UF Active Directory (i.e., IFAS Organizational Units and sub-units). Provide operational support for the windows server operating system and applications within the IFAS environment. Such support includes but not limited to; support for Microsoft 365 cloud services, server/application monitoring, Active Directory OU management, Operating System maintenance, Hyper-V, DFS (Distributed File System) troubleshooting, Group Policy Management, SCCM (System Center Configuration Manager) and Microsoft Intune.
Provide end user training for IFAS IT supported systems and applications. Serve as a mentor for IFAS departmental technical support staff.
Performs various advanced system diagnostics and upgrades as required. Develop and maintain system automation using PowerShell and GitHub. Develop documentation and procedures.
Research:
Evaluate hardware, operating system and application software features to enhance functionality and efficiencies of our computing resources.
Other:
Actively participates in committee-based environments for the purposes of establishing project priorities, user feedback and troubleshooting as they relate to the IFAS portion of UF Active Directory. Other required miscellaneous duties as assigned.
Some travel may be required
This position is assigned full-time alternate work location outside of UF campus at the discretion of the employee, though personal attendance in meetings may be required where video conferencing isn’t available. This will be reviewed annually and may be reevaluated based on the needs of the department. The employee is expected to work normal office hours on days when coordination with others is required. The employee is responsible for maintaining adequate Internet and telephone connectivity for UF business.
Expected Salary:
80,500 - $85,500
Minimum Requirements:
Bachelor's degree in an appropriate area and four years of relevant experience; or a high school diploma or equivalent and eight years of relevant experience. Appropriate college coursework may substitute at an equivalent rate for the required experience.
Must have a valid FL driver's license.
Preferred Qualifications:
Microsoft Certified IT Professional (MCITP) certifications
Administrative scripting - (WSH, VBScript and PowerShell scripting experience)
Previous experience with Virtual Infrastructure (Hyper-V and vSphere)

The UF/IFAS Mid-Florida Research and Education Center is seeking a postdoctoral research associate specializing in behavioral and experimental economics, consumer marketing, and applied econometrics. The responsibilities include developing and conducting online and in‑person consumer surveys, choice-based and auction experiments, analyzing data using econometrics models, and writing journal articles and technical reports.

Conduct applied research in consumer economics and marketing that will have practical implications for horticultural industries and/or urban landscape design and maintenance stakeholders in Florida.

Analyze data using econometric models and write journal articles and technical reports.
Report on research activities and prepare presentations for professional and outreach meetings.
The Mid-Florida Research and Education Center (MREC) is a unit of the Institute of Food and Agricultural Sciences (IFAS) at the University of Florida and has diverse research and extension programs, with thirteen faculty members working with a variety of crops and organisms. MREC is located 15 miles northwest of Orlando and 94 miles south of the main campus in Gainesville, and in proximity to a large concentration of greenhouse and landscape ornamental commercial facilities.

Minimum Requirements:
Ph.D (foreign equivalent acceptable) in agricultural economics, economics, or a related field.
Excellent skills in choice modeling and relevant statistical and numerical software.

Patient Recruitment
Responsible for patient recruitment and scheduling.
Arrange travel for research participants.
Create and monitor project timelines, deadlines, and progress reports.

Data Collection and Management

Responsible for de-identifying data and preparing data for blinded analysis by completing paper and electronic reports.

Laboratory Operations and Day-to-Day Management
Coordinate all clinical research activities in the Laboratory for Rehabilitation Neuroscience with minimal supervision.
Coordinate scheduling and testing for EEG experiment in the Laboratory for Rehabilitation Neuroscience.
Coordinate scheduling and testing with the AMRIS facility in the McKnight Brain Institute for use of the 3T research dedicated Phillips MRI.
Oversee the day-to-day management of the laboratory and coordinate operations with other investigators in the Department.
Serve as liaison with administrative offices, IRB, external collaborators/agencies, faculty and staff at collaborating institutions, and other external constituencies.

Assist with NIH grant documentation.

Job Description:
The Biomedical Informatics Program (BMI), hosted within the Department of Health Outcomes and Biomedical Informatics and closely affiliated with the Clinical and Translational Science Institute (CTSI), engages in diverse informatics research and service across the University of Florida. Service initiatives include, but not limited to, supporting the informatics infrastructure for the CTSI, the OneFlorida+ Clinical Research Network, and the University of Florida Health Cancer Center (UFHCC).
The Biomedical Informatics team is seeking a qualified and enthusiastic individual to fill the role of a Research Coordinator. The Coordinator will play an important role in the management and execution of cutting-edge research studies at the intersection of health care delivery and information technology to enhance care quality and population health.
The Coordinator will work under the supervision of a Research Manager in the BMI Program, and will support projects led by BMI faculty member Mei Liu. The job responsibilities include a full range of research-related and organizational support efforts across multiple initiatives.
The Coordinator will facilitate team communication, coordinate research study execution, and support grant proposals and research dissemination. The Coordinator will collaborate with internal and external research partners, clinical providers, and other stakeholders. Within these activities, opportunities will exist for the Coordinator to foster their individual professional interests and develop new skills.
Successful candidates must be committed to working with diverse professional and community populations.
Duties to Include:
Biomedical Informatics Research Project Management: Track objectives, milestones, deliverables, status reports, study results. Translate study design decisions into concrete tasks, and assist in setting implementation priorities. Manage communication among staff, study sponsors, healthcare professionals, and investigators, to ensure on-time reports and other deliverables. Work with investigators and administrative staff to maintain budgets, monitor project spending, and develop and maintain IRB protocols, and other research-related documentation.
Communication: Organize and lead project meetings. Track and communicate project updates to team members, leadership, and other internal and external stakeholders.Grant Proposal Development: Coordinate grant proposal development investigators and grants administrators. Collaboratively manage submission milestones and deadlines. Identify and review extramural funding opportunities and share opportunities with investigators and other partners.
Research Protocol Implementation: Conduct all phases of research including study recruitment, informed consent, retention, and data collection and analysis. Communicate with study participants to address paritipant questions/issues and implement study protocols.Dissemination: Work with Investigators to produce publications in peer-reviewed journals and presentations to academic, organizational, and community audiences.
Expected Salary:
$50,000 to $60,000
Minimum Requirements:
Bachelor's degree in an appropriate area and two years of relevant experience; or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
Preferred Qualifications:
At least two years of experience in conducting health services, informatics, or other health-related research, in and outside of a clinical setting.
Excellent attention to detail, particularly with regard to interpreting and implementing protocols and in terms of collecting data to ensure accuracy and integrity
Excellent written (in English) and oral communication skills
Ability to work independently and to collaborate with faculty, staff, and healthcare professionals at multiple levels
Demonstrate strong skills and proficiency in Excel, Word, Powerpoint, Adobe, and Project Management software
Working knowledge of informatics and/or health-related research
Ability to handle protected health information and human subject issues
Ability to interpret basic statistical results
Ability to work with investigators to draft project proposals and plans, manuscripts for publication in peer-review journals, and project reports
