Minimum Requirements:
Licensed to practice medicine in accordance with Chapter 458, Florida Statutes with appropriate experience.
Preferred Qualifications:
Certification/Licensure in the state of Florida and Federal DEA Certification.
Medical Degree – M.D or D.O.
Completion of accredited surgery residency and surgical critical care fellowship program.
Board certified or eligible in General Surgery and Surgical Critical Care.
Experience at a high functioning, busy trauma center

Veterinary Service Representative (CARE)
Job Description:
The FARMS Veterinary Service Representative will be an integral of member of the service, acting as a point person and liaison for communication with clients and clinicians of the Food Animal Reproduction & Medicine Service (FARMS) as related to the delivery of routine and emergent health care services provided to livestock producers throughout the state. The FARM Service is unique compared to other units in the Large Animal Hospital (LAH) in that it is primarily an ambulatory service and its patients do not usually come to the hospital for their care. FARMS clinicians spend considerable amounts of time offsite providing herd health services to clients at animal production units while teaching students. The Veterinary Service Representative is responsible for facilitating veterinary clients’ needs throughout their interaction with the service including communications, processing paperwork, and handling financial transactions.Candidates should genuinely care about people and animals, be outgoing, enthusiastic and a team player. They should endeavor to learn new things, quickly adapt to a changing environment and express a positive attitude in their daily work. They must be able to communicate effectively, demonstrate critical thinking, professionalism and be proactive in determining the needs of the service.
