About the RoleThe Research Assistant in Equine Science based at the Werribee Campus within the Melbourne Veterinary School supports the Equine Limb Injury Prevention Program (ELIPP) by gathering training and clinical data from horses in training.
Reporting to the Associate Professor, the role involves technical support for fieldwork studies, including fitting and operating instrumentation to collect data on speed, distance, stride length, and cardiac ECG monitoring during exercise.
Additionally, the position entails liaising with trainers, stable staff, and trackwork riders, maintaining horse training records, assessing track surface quality, and potentially conducting initial data analysis and reporting of results.
Travel to training facilities for fieldwork and occasional work from other locations, including the Parkville campus, is also required.
Your responsibilities will include:
Collaborate with staff and students within the Equine Limb Injury Prevention Program to achieve agreed diagnostic and research outcomes.
Assist veterinary clinicians (staff and RHD students) in collecting training data, lameness and radiographic data from horses in training.
Contribute to the effective operation of equipment for data logging and analysis.
Ensure the validity and security of data; and effective data backup.
Collect and record horse information and consent procedures from trainers, ensuring confidentiality is maintained.
Who We Are Looking ForYou will bring your passion for equine science or equine sports medicine, along with your motivation, reliability, and adept time management skills.
You will also have:
A postgraduate degree (Masters or Doctoral degree) in animal or veterinary sciences or a related discipline; progress towards a Masters or PhD; or a graduate degree in a relevant field with significant research and/or equine industry experience.
Demonstrated experience in a comparable research assistant position or work in equine sciences.
Good practical horse handling skills
Demonstrated ability to apply quantitative/qualitative research methodologies.

Acute Medical Unit (AMU) is a faced paced 25 bed unit - including 9 negative pressure rooms focusing on acute medicine
Supportive environment with a focus on ongoing professional and career development
Strong multidisciplinary approach to healthcare
The role:
Provides clinical nursing leadership in a contemporary acute care practice setting including advanced nursing care within scope of practice.
In collaboration with the Nurse Unit Manager (NUM) undertakes nursing assessments, contributes to planning, and co-ordinates the delivery of services to patients admitted to the AMU.
Develops effective relationships with other service providers across the hospital and within the community to improve services and service access.
Actively incorporates teaching, practice-based research, and quality activities within the role to improve standards of care.

Fixed term, part time shift-worker position working 48 hours per fortnight, commencing as soon as possible until 30 October 2024

Salary: $111,506 - $118,336 pro rata, per annum. Our Employer 11% superannuation contribution is on top of this amount.

Responsibilities:
Lead and manage internal audit engagements in relation to Anti-Money Laundering and Counter-Terrorist Financing (AML/CTF), Compliance and Operational Risk Management, etc. in BOCHK Group from planning, risk assessment, fieldwork to reporting
Assess compliance with relevant regulations and standards of Hong Kong and Southeast Asia countries
Evaluate the effectiveness of risk management and internal controls, identify areas for improvement, provide sound recommendations and audit opinions, validate effectiveness of remediation
Participate and/or support various audit assignments or ad-hoc projects if necessary
Requirements:
Degree or above with major in Accountancy, Finance, Economics, Statistics, Risk Management or related disciplines
Professional qualification of CPA/CIA or equivalent. CAMS, AAMLP, CFA, CFE will be a plus
4 years or above solid experience in AML/CTF or Compliance or Operational audits or relevant areas, preferably in sizable financial institutions / enterprises, regulators or well-known external audit / consultancy firms.
Familiar with relevant local and international banking and AML laws & regulations, standards and market practices in Hong Kong and Southeast Asian market, solid knowledge of risk management framework(including compliance risk, operational risk, fraud risk, etc.) and risk model, customer due diligence, screening and sanctions compliance, transaction monitoring and suspicious transaction reporting
Available in travelling to Southeast Asia, good team-player, self-motivated with strong project management and communication skills; familiar with data analytics will be a plus
Proficiency in spoken and written Chinese and English, with good command of Mandarin
