Why Your Role Matters:As an LMS Engineer, you’ll play a critical role in shaping how learning is delivered and experienced across the University. Sitting at the intersection of technology and education, you will design, build, and enhance learning platforms that enable seamless, engaging, and scalable digital learning experiences for staff and students.
In this role, your expertise will ensure that LMS solutions are not only technically robust but also aligned to the evolving needs of the University. By leveraging both out-of-the-box capabilities and developing tailored solutions across cloud and on-premise environments, you’ll help deliver flexible, integrated systems that connect with a broader technology ecosystem and support innovation in teaching and learning.
Working closely with developers and stakeholders, you’ll guide best-practice solution development using agile and iterative methodologies, driving continuous improvement and high-quality outcomes. Your ability to bridge technical and functional domains will ensure that platforms are reliable, secure, and fit-for-purpose.
Ultimately, your work will directly contribute to enhancing UNSW’s digital learning environment—ensuring that systems are efficient, scalable, and capable of supporting world-class education now and into the future.
Purpose of the role:
Deliver the technical build, configuration, and integration work required to stand up UNSW’s new Learning Management System (LMS) and support the platform and ecosystem commitments through to go-live, noting the new LMS application has not yet been announced.
Key responsibilities
1. Platform configuration and build
· Configure LMS toolsets, features, org structure (faculties, courses, communities), home pages, widgets, and dashboards in line with UNSW requirements.
· Support role and permissions configuration (scoped roles at system, faculty, course, and assessment level)
· Configure institutional branding, course templates, and blueprint courses
2. Integrations
· Assist with the development of integrations between LMS and UNSW systems of record (PeopleSoft/SIS, Entra ID/SSO, Turnitin, Inspera, Leganto, STACK, and other LTI tools) using the LMS vendor Standard CSV, APIs, and LTI Advantage standards
· Work with the integration
· Support SSO/identity configuration work delivered through the LMS vendor Professional Services during implementation
3. Data, reporting and analytics
· Assist with support Data Hub exports, Insights Dashboards, and course-level dashboards for institutional reporting
· Coordinate with the Data Engineer roles on data flows into UNSW's reporting/BI environment
4. Testing and quality
· Support configuration testing against acceptance criteria developed with UNSW stakeholders
· Work with the Test teams on test planning and defect resolution
5. Migration support
· Support course conversion/migration activity from the incumbent LMS, working with the new LMS’ bulk migration tooling and UNSW's export packages
· Work with learning designers to remediate migration issues
6. Business case and program delivery support
· Support stage-gate and governance reporting to the LMS Steering Committee, ITPMO, and Student Systems Reference Group as required

Skills and Experience Summary:
Relevant degree or equivalent experience, with strong expertise across multiple technology domains (e.g. web applications, cloud platforms, infrastructure, databases, security).
Demonstrated ability to analyse, design, and implement complex technical solutions, applying new technologies and concepts.
Strong experience working in Agile delivery environments, with a focus on iterative and high-quality solution outcomes.
Proficiency using delivery and workflow management tools (e.g. JIRA, MS TFS) to track and manage work.
Experience preparing and executing test cases, with a solid understanding of end-to-end testing practices.
Excellent interpersonal and stakeholder engagement skills, with a proven ability to build strong working relationships across IT and the business.
Strong time management and organisational skills, with the ability to manage competing priorities and meet deadlines.
Collaborative and adaptable team player, able to work independently while coaching and supporting others on complex delivery.
Strong customer focus, negotiation, and problem-resolution skills, with a commitment to delivering high-quality outcomes.

Responsibilities:
Participate in system user requirement discussion, collaborate closely with project teams and stakeholders to clarify requirements, identify defects and potential risk/ issues, and refine user requirement documentation
Formulate test plan, test approach, test scenarios, and test cases based on user requirements and system functional specifications; prepare test accounts and configure testing environments; lead the development of automated test scripts; and execute both manual and automated test cases
Participate in user acceptance testing, regression testing, production validation, and trial runs to validate system quality for product process enhancements and system optimization projects
Accurately document, report, track, and verify test results; coordinate with development teams to prioritize, track and resolve system defects, ensuring timely issue resolution
Support user training, provide testing assistance, and prepare relevant operational guidelines and instructional materials
Assist in managing key systems to support continuous operational improvement; maintain user access rights and update knowledge database
Requirements:
University degree in Business, Finance, Computer Science, Engineering or related disciplines
Minimum 4 years of experience in banks, large technology companies and consultant companies
Strong understanding of advance digital working methodologies including agile, lean, value stream mapping and design thinking
Proficient in automated testing tools such as TestComplete, Selenium, or Katalon
Agile Product Owner/Scrum Master, Six Sigma professional qualification is a plus
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, be able to manage and build up rapport with professional and different level of business and technology stakeholders
Proficiency in both English and Chinese with good communication and presentation skills

The Team
Join our award-winning team of Clinical Nursing and Midwifery Educators and Clinical Facilitators who work across the North West of Tasmania as patient safety guardians. We build the clinical skills of the whole multidisciplinary team to respond to patient deterioration. We develop innovative evidence-based programs to build the clinical competence of nurses across the spectrum of practice. Participate in whole of health service simulation exercises. Learn and grow with us. Positions are available at Northwest Regional Hospital.
The Role
Develop the clinical competencies of the Emergency Department team
Supervise and mentor Junior team members
Support the education program in the Emergency Department
You will need to have strong emergency nursing skills and have completed your own resus and triage training.
You will need to have a desire to support the team through education and be willing to learn and develop your own education assessment skills.

Details of appointment
Fixed term, part time, shift worker (fully rotational) position, working up to 32 hours per fortnight, commencing from as soon as possible until the 28 April 2027.

The Team
The Office of the Executive Director of Nursing and Midwifery (EDONM) is responsible for regional strategic priorities and projects for North West Hospitals and Primary Health Services. This includes workforce planning, centralised recruitment support, pathways to excellence and general project support.
The Role
Works in North West facilities settings to improve health care services through use of health management information systems to enhance clinical practices in nursing and midwifery.
Provides leadership and coordination of nursing and midwifery projects, with the specific challenge and strategic direction of assisting in the establishment of the Recruitment Co-Operative for Nursing and Midwifery recruitment within Hospitals North West.
Support and assist in the development of the single recruitment pipeline through targeted priority recruitment, support frontline managers to fill all vacancies through adaptive strategies and business cases, and marketing materials that target Nursing and Midwifery.
Additional projects as prioritised through the strategic planning framework of the EDONM.
You will need
Strong nursing/midwifery leadership expertise with contemporary knowledge of nursing and midwifery practice, workforce planning, service improvement, and quality healthcare delivery.
Proven project management and analytical capability, including experience in research methodologies, strategic planning, problem-solving, and leading complex initiatives to achieve organisational outcomes.
Exceptional stakeholder engagement, with the ability to communicate complex information clearly, collaborate and negotiate effectively, understand relevant health policy and legislation, to improve and develop the nursing and midwifery workforce.
