Technical Manager/Assistant Technical Manager in the Department of Mechanical Engineering (Ref.: 499914) (to commence on or before July 31, 2020, on a two-year fixed-term basis with contract-end gratuity and University contribution to a retirement benefits scheme, totalling up to 10% of basic salary, with the possibility of renewal)
Applicants should possess a Bachelor’s degree or equivalent with at least 3 years’ relevant work experience. Knowledge and work experience of cleanroom would be an advantage. The appointee will be responsible for monitoring the cleanroom’s environment for its humidity, pressure, temperature, particulate, and contamination data by tracking the built-in sensors in the laboratory; performing maintenance and develop guidelines to enhance operating efficiency of the laboratory; developing standard operating procedures; assisting in implementation plan; coordinating technical training and safety training to the users; and coordinating with the university safety office on chemical handling and disposal protocols. He/She will also manage daily facility operations in the cleanroom and resolve any escalated issues. Those with a lower qualification and/or less experience may be appointed as Assistant Technical Manager.
