Classification Title: Pediatric Psychologist - Clinical / Assistant / Associate / Full Professor Job Description: Job Description The University of Florida, Department of Pediatrics is pleased to announce a faculty opening for a full-time Pediatric Psychologist in the Section of Behavioral and Developmental Pediatrics, Division of General Pediatrics. This position will be a non-tenure track at the rank of Assistant Professor. The successful candidate will join a multidisciplinary behavioral health team that is co-located and integrated into a large, multi-site general pediatrics practice within an academic medical center. Patients are referred to the team by general pediatrics providers and pediatrics subspecialty providers within and outside of UFHealth. The psychologist will provide a broad range of outpatient behavioral health services to children, adolescents and their families, including triage, consultation, care coordination, DSM 5 diagnostic assessments, psychological testing, problem-focused, evidence-based interventions, and referrals to other behavioral health and general pediatrics providers at UF Health and in the community as needed. Assignment will be comprised of clinical assessment and evaluation, psychosocial therapies, research, teaching and administrative activities. UF Health Shands Children’s Hospital represents the only quaternary-care academic pediatric center in North Florida. The children’s hospital has 208 beds, including fully-equipped pediatric and neonatal intensive care units. The Department of Pediatrics is committed to fostering innovation and advancing discovery in the biomedical and psychosocial aspects of child health and human development, educating and training pediatric scientists, and directly translating basic scientific discoveries into new patient-oriented therapies. In the most recent fiscal year, the department was home to over $30.5M in sponsored research. UF Health faculty work in multidisciplinary teams with researchers in the five other Health Science Center colleges, as well as those from across the University. The focus of team efforts is often grown out of the Centers and Institutes, including the Evelyn F. and William L. McKnight Brain Institute, the UF Genetics Institute, the Powell Gene Therapy Center, and the UF Health Cancer Center. Training in an autism-focused track or track that had a significant component of time spent in assessment/treatment of autism and other developmental disabilities. Experience with clinical interviewing and a variety of psychological testing instruments for children toddler-age through adolescence in the following domain (intelligence, achievement, language, attention, executive functioning, social/behavioral/emotional functioning). Specific knowledge/training for the following assessments: Autism Diagnostic Observation Schedule, Second Edition (ADOS-2) Toddler Module and Modules 1-4 Clinical Evaluation of Language Fundamentals, Fifth Edition(CELF-5) or other comprehensive language measures Leiter International Performance Scale, Third Edition (ELeiter-3) Wechsler Individual Achievement Test, Third Edition (WIAT-III) or Woodcock Johnson Tests of Achievement, Fourth Edition(WJ-Ach-IV) Adaptive Behavior Assessment System, Third Edition (ABAS-3) or Vineland Adaptive Behavior Scales, Third Edition (Vineland-3) Social Communication Questionnaire (SCQ) Social Responsiveness Scale, Second Edition (SRS-2) Preferred Qualifications: Experience with interdisciplinary case collaboration with other professionals treating child with autism spectrum disorder, such as developmental pediatricians, child psychiatrists, speech therapists, and occupational therapists. Classification Title: Clinical Ast/Aso/Full Professor - Pediatric Pathologist Job Description: Primary responsibilities will involve service and clinical teaching in pediatric pathology with an emphasis on autopsy and congenital heart disease, as well as potential other areas of anatomic pathology. Expertise in placental pathology is preferable. The position can be tailored based on subspecialty interests. Expected Salary: Salary will be commensurate with experience.
