Job Description:

The CRM Team manages and develops applications on the Salesforce platform which provides support for a variety of offices including Student Financial Affairs, Human Resources, UF Research, and academic advising offices in multiple colleges. It is a large Salesforce instance serving many functions. This position will work with the other developers and administrators on the CRM Team to expand and deepen the use of Salesforce across campus. The role will work with the team interacting directly with end users and stakeholders in a continuous improvement model.

Under direct supervision, works closely with customers, business analysts, and team members to understand business requirements and to develop quality technical solutions. Participates in and has a good understanding of IT systems, development lifecycle, quality assurance/testing, and integration methodologies. Utilizes a solid understanding of IT systems, development lifecycle, quality assurance /testing, and integration methodologies. The role supports the implementation of business solutions utilizing Salesforce and related applications. This position will also help consult, educate, facilitate, and communicate knowledge of applications, system tools, and processes to all stakeholders.

Some key responsibilities and characteristics of this position are:
• Developing, managing, deploying, configuring, and debugging solutions on the Salesforce and supporting platforms as assigned.
• Responsible for maintaining these systems and fulfilling service requests for enhancements to these systems and related business processes. This includes analyzing requirements and constraints, identifying use cases, debugging and modifying program code, managing deadlines, and ensuring quality control practices are followed. Maintains web sites, including minor design and migrations.
• Works with functional clients and project leads to determine, establish, test, implement, and/or maintain assigned projects.

Expected Salary:

$50,000 – $55,000; commensurate based on education and experience. In addition, the University of Florida offers a very competitive benefits package.

Minimum Requirements:

Associate's degree; or a high school diploma or equivalent and two years of relevant experience. Appropriate college coursework or vocational/technical training may substitute at an equivalent rate for the required experience.

Preferred Qualifications:


  • Bachelor’s degree
  • Salesforce certification(s)


  • Custom apps and objects, formula fields, workflows, custom views and other content of intermediate complexity on the Salesforce platform
  • Knowledge of application development on the Salesforce platform using APEX, SOQL and Visualforce to create custom applications
  • Data integrations with common web service technologies (REST, SOAP, JSON, etc.)
    Developing applications on an MVC, MVP, and/or MVVM model
  • Building client-side user interfaces with modern JavaScript and CSS techniques and libraries
  • Git and versioning best practices
  • SQL


  • Understanding of Salesforce, Marketing Cloud, Pardot (or similar marketing automation platforms)
  • Understanding of Salesforce best practices and functionality. Ability to assess the impact of new requirements on Salesforce and Marketing Cloud.
