About the Role

Base Location: Perth, Glasgow, Inverness or Aberdeen

SSE Transmission has a great opportunity for an experienced and data-driven Asset Investment Engineer.

The Key Responsibilities of this role are:

- Assisting in maintaining a safe, secure and reliable transmission network through development and effective management of our asset and justifying short, medium, and long-term investments.

- Work with risk-based models to optimise investments with key considerations to the safety, environment and commercial operation of our business.

- Working with Asset Management Tools such as CBRM, Maximo, GIS, AIM, etc

- Co-ordinate modelling and forecast processes with other internal teams

- Dealing with Asset Investment Data Assurance, Analysing & Optimising Investments and creating Regulatory Reporting Packs

What do I need?

To be considered for this role, we would love you to have:

- A thorough understanding and significant experience in managing asset risk and investment models for physical assets.

- High level of technical competency in carrying out investment appraisals, cost benefit analysis, economic modelling and data analysis.

- Excellent written and oral communication skills are essential, as are well developed stakeholder management skills, and a track record of delivery against challenging deadlines.

- You will be educated to degree level or have equivalent experience in electrical engineering, business or finance degree relevant to the job.

- It is highly desirable you will hold an Institute of Asset Management qualification, have Chartership status and experience of ISO 55000.
