Veterinary Client Service Representative I (CARE)

Job Description:

• Provide great customer service
• Answer and triage phone calls
• Greet clients and their pets
• Keep the front area cleaned and stocked
• Set up clients and their pets in our electronic medical record system
• Relay the value of charges to clients and answer questions posed by clients.
• Process payments
• Converse with customers while they are waiting and help them to be more comfortable during their downtime.
• Provide updates on pets that are undergoing treatment or hospitalized when the doctor is unable to do so personally.
• Scan documents into medical record
• Call clients regarding their accounts and answer questions if needed.

Expected Salary:

Starting salary is $15.00 to $17.00 per hour; commensurate with experience.

Minimum Requirements:

High school diploma or equivalent and two years of relevant experience. Appropriate college coursework or vocational/technical training may substitute at an equivalent rate for the required experience.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Upbeat, friendly, and professional attitude
• Be compassionate/caring; Can work individually, as well as on a team
• Excellent communication skills, a sense of urgency, and working harmoniously with teammates is required.
• Prior experience working as a receptionist preferred
• Experience working with animals a plus, but not required
• Must be willing and able to work in an environment with animals
• Knowledge of veterinary software is a plus
• Ability to multitask
• Flexible and available to work nights, weekends and holiday shifts
