Details of Appointment

1 x Permanent Full Time or multiple Part Time Shift Worker position working up to 76 hours per fortnight

Please note : Subsequent appointments may be made from this process for fixed term and permanent vacancies within the department. Notwithstanding hours may be negotiated with the applicants.

Who are we looking for?

We are seeking motivated and experienced Registered Nurses to work at the Mersey Community Hospital. We are looking for passionate nurses who deliver the greatest quality of care and will collaborate with members of the multidisciplinary healthcare team. Reporting to the Nurse Unit Manager, working within the dynamic multidisciplinary team, you will contribute to a strong professional team approach through open communication and a positive supportive environment.

This position's primary duties will be that of Patient Transport Nurse. The Patient Transport Nurse is responsible for the safe transfer of patients between hospital departments, State-wide facilities and services and must be competent in recognising and responding to a deteriorating patient and communicating for safety. Other duties included in this role support admitted patient and day surgery services.
