Job Description:

Following an announcement by the Tasmanian Government, a Public Health Direction was issued on 10 September 2021 requiring that all Health Workers are vaccinated against COVID-19. This step is critical in protecting both our health workforce and vulnerable Tasmanians in our care.

The Role:

We are seeking a suitably qualified Psychologist or Clinical Neuropsychologist to provide clinical expertise and best practice assessment and therapeutic interventions in accordance with organisational policies and relevant professional codes of conduct.

The Psychologist - Rehabilitation:

The team:

You will work in a multidisciplinary team to provide psychology assessment and therapy services to inpatients and outpatients of the medical, surgical and rehabilitation wards at North West Regional Hospital (NWRH) and Mersey Community Hospital (MCH).

Details of Appointment

Permanent Full Time, Day Worker position working 76 hours per fortnight

Salary: $94,469 - $105,158 per annum + 10% superannuation + access to salary packaging

Successful applicants will be required to meet the essential criteria:

  1. Registered with the Psychology Board of Australia

Applicants should note the following criteria are desirable:

  1. Endorsed with the Psychology Board of Australia as either/both a Clinical Psychologist or Clinical Neuropsychologist
  2. Current Driver’s Licence

The Head of the State Service has determined that the person nominated for this job is to satisfy a pre‑employment check before taking up the appointment, on promotion or transfer. The following checks are to be conducted:

  1. Conviction checks in the following areas:
  1. Crimes of violence
  2. sex related offences
  3. serious drug offences
  4. crimes involving dishonesty
  1. Identification check
  2. Disciplinary action in previous employment check.
