Job Description:

The Tasmanian Health Service is seeking interest from suitably qualified applicants for a Senior Physiotherapist- Medical Services (Rapid Assessment Medical Unit) (505475) vacancy.

Salary

$92,345 to $109,252 pro-rata, per annum

Please note that access to salaries beyond $100,517 is subject to qualifications and application to the personal upgrade scheme as with Schedule 8 of the Allied Health Professionals Public Sector Unions Wages Agreement 2019

Period of Employment

Permanent part-time shift worker (set rotational) (with on-call), working 45.6 hours per fortnight commencing as soon as possible.

Duties

Senior Physiotherapist –Medical Services (Rapid Assessment Medical Unit)

In the role of Senior Physiotherapist (Medical Services) you will provide optimal evidence-based physiotherapy to acute medical patients at the Royal Hobart Hospital. In this role you will work collaboratively within a multi-disciplinary environment including the Rapid Assessment Medical Unit, Emergency Department and acute medical wards to deliver evidence driven patient centred care. As a member of the medical services team you will contribute to a culture of learning and foster leadership and innovation.

The Medical Services (Rapid Assessment Medical Unit) Senior Physiotherapist will perform duties including:

• Provide evidence driven patient centred physiotherapy care to acute medical patients, facilitating patient flow, discharge planning and preventing hospital re-admission.

• Promote a learning culture supporting leadership and clinical supervision to physiotherapists, allied health assistants and undergraduate students

• Provide clinical expertise and professional education to Physiotherapy, Allied Health, Medical and Nursing Teams, and external agencies

• Foster innovation and support Quality Improvement and Service Delivery projects

Essential Requirements

  • Registered with the Physiotherapy Board of Australia

Desirable Requirements

  • Current Driver’s Licence.
  • Post graduate qualifications or working toward this in the identified clinical area.
