Job Description:

Following an announcement by the Tasmanian Government, a Public Health Direction was issued on 10 September 2021 requiring that all Health Workers are vaccinated against COVID-19. This step is critical in protecting both our health workforce and vulnerable Tasmanians in our care.

Applicants for any position within the Department of Health must be prepared to be vaccinated against COVID-19 as a condition of their employment.

Hours/Period of Appointment

Fixed term, full time day work with on call working 80 hours per fortnight to commence 7 February 2022 until 5 February 2023. Notwithstanding hours may be negotiated with the successful applicant.

Salary

Medical Practitioner Level 5 - 11 $95,697 - $135,411 per annum

Duties

Responsible for the day to day management of private and public inpatients and outpatients within the allocated site/facility. Provide after-hours emergency as determined by the relevant work unit.

This is an ACCREDITED Endocrinology Advance Trainee CORE YEAR position, applicants who have passed FRACP Clinical Examination will be highly considered.

The placement will primarily based at Launceston General Hospital, however, there may be some outreach clinics.

General registration with the Medical Board of Australia
