Salary

$92,345 to $109,252 pro-rata, per annum

- Please note that access to salaries beyond $100,517 is subject to completion of a relevant Graduate Diploma or application to the personal upgrade scheme in accordance with Schedule 8 of the Allied Health Professionals Public Sector Unions Wages Agreement 2019

Period of Employment

Fixed term part-time day worker, working 38 hours per fortnight commencing 1 October 2020 until 30 September 2021

Location

Royal Hobart Hospital Adult Inpatient Team

Duties

Provide psychological input to patients attending the RHH, including but not limited to psychological, cognitive, behavioural and/or capacity assessments, and appropriate group and/or individual interventions.

Prepare psychological and neuropsychological reports, including medico-legal and Guardianship and Administration Board of Tasmania reports as required.

Engage with and provide advice and consultation to multidisciplinary teams, including assisting multidisciplinary teams in discharge planning, multidisciplinary case conferences and family meetings, as required.

Provide education and support to family, staff, carers, service providers and others involved in ongoing patient care and management.

Essential Requirements

  • Registered with the Psychology Board of Australia.

The Head of the State Service has determined that the person nominated for this job is to satisfy a pre‑employment check before taking up the appointment, on promotion or transfer. The following checks are to be conducted:

1. Conviction checks in the following areas:

a) Crimes of Violence
b) Sex Related Offences
c) Serious Drug Offences
d) Crimes involving dishonesty

3. Disciplinary action in previous employment check


Desirable Requirements

  • Endorsement by the Psychology Board of Australia as a Clinical Psychologist or Clinical Neuropsychologist. •
  • Post graduate degree in Clinical Psychology or Clinical Neuropsychology.
