Job Description:

C# object-oriented software development using Windows Forms and Windows Presentation Foundation (WPF) in Visual Studio. The development will involve building software to be used in the transportation industry. The incumbent will need to develop the graphical user interface in addition to implementing the mathematical calculations.

Design and develop software and web applications for McTrans Center by working closely with McTrans developers, engineers, and testers. This work will require knowledge and experience with C#, .NET, HTML, JavaScript, SQL and related technologies. Implement and validate the implemented products to ensure the design meets customer needs. Design and develop prototypes of software for a variety of transportation needs.

Generate software designs, translating requirements into object-oriented programming (OOP) specifications. The examples of designs include software architecture design and flow charts.

Test software and web applications to resolve issues and assess the correctness of the results as needed to satisfy user requirements.

Local network, server and miscellaneous IT tasks and responsibilities.

Expected Salary:

$65,000-$70,000; commensurate with qualifications and experience

Minimum Requirements:

Associate's degree and two years of relevant experience; or a high school diploma or equivalent and four years of relevant experience. Appropriate college coursework or vocational/technical training may substitute at an equivalent rate for the required experience.

Preferred Qualifications:

Masters’ degree in computer science or a related field.

At least two years of professional web development experience.

Experience in web development and design using HTML, CSS, PHP, ASP, ASP.NET, JavaScript and SQL Server.

Proficiency in C# programming, Windows Presentation Foundation and knowledge of OOP concepts.

Experience with WordPress web development, Visual Studio Team System and Team Foundation Server.

Experience in Windows Form-based and Windows Presentation Foundation-based application development.
