Job Description:

Following an announcement by the Tasmanian Government, a Public Health Direction was issued on 10 September 2021 requiring that all Health Workers are vaccinated against COVID-19. This step is critical in protecting both our health workforce and vulnerable Tasmanians in our care.

Applicants for any position within the Department of Health must be prepared to be vaccinated against COVID-19 as a condition of their employment.

The Team:

The RHH Pharmacy Department forms part of the Statewide Hospital Pharmacy. The RHH Pharmacy Department employs around 140 pharmacists and support staff. The Department provides clinical pharmacy services to a number of wards of the hospital (including ICU, WACS, oncology, palliative care, emergency medicine, mental health services, and general medical and surgical wards). It also provides a number of other services including the manufacturing of aseptic and non aseptic products, chemotherapy preparation and outpatient dispensing.

The Department has strong links with the Pharmacy School at the University of Tasmania, with regular student rotations. The Department also prides itself on providing an excellent intern training program.

Details of Appointment

Fixed Term Full Time, Shift-Worker position working 76 hours per fortnight, commencing from November 2021 until November 2023

Salary: $62,601 - $95,776 per annum + 10% superannuation + access to salary packaging
