Job Description:

About the role:

You will join Prof Laura Mackay’s group to assist with research on a project aimed at understanding the development, maintenance and regulation of T cells for developing novel immunotherapeutic strategies. You will work directly with a post-doctoral scientist to undertake molecular and cell biology experiments. Your primary responsibilities will include general lab maintenance and organisational duties, designing and performing experiments, data analysis as well as management of experimental methodology and results.

About you:

You will have experience working in a research environment and hold a Bachelor of Science (Honours) or Bachelor of Biomedical Science (Honours). You will be highly organised and have the ability to work independently and to multi-task experiments while meeting timelines. Skills in mouse handling, tissue culture, molecular biology, as well as flow cytometry would be highly desirable. The position will be for one year and renewable based on performance.
