Job Description:

Salary: Level A - $75,289 - $102,163 p.a. (pro-rata for part-time) + 17% super or Level B - $107,547 - $127,707 p.a. (pro-rata for part-time) + 17% super. Level of appointment is subject to qualifications and experience.
Working hours: Part Time/Full Time 0.8-1.0 FTE

About the role:

The Rural Clinical School is seeking an individual who will not shy away from a challenge and are committed to extending the education of the first year of the University of Melbourne, Doctor of Medicine degree course into the new purpose-built Learning and Teaching space in Shepparton. You will be one in the team of three Course Facilitators instrumental in delivering education and tutoring to support the centrally delivered lectures. You will also be involved in Practical laboratory sessions and Case Supported learning to bring the Biomedical knowledge students have into the clinical realm. The Rural Clinical School hopes to attract applicants from a diverse range of backgrounds. Therefore, this position is available to applicants who have qualifications in education, science or biomedical backgrounds.

About you:

Skills and Experience required to fulfil the position: You will need to be open to learning new skills and have to ability to effectively disseminate information and concepts to engage students in their foundation year as a student doctor.

You should demonstrate not only the ability to teach, but to mentor, support and inspire students. Collaboration and the ability to work within your team as well doing the same with all the other educators and professional staff is also highly prized.
