$49,369 to $51,427 per annum

Period of Employment

Permanent, full-time/part-time, shift work (set rotational), working up to 76 hours per fortnight commencing as soon as possible.

Please also note that this process may be used to fill fixed term and casual opportunities as they arise.


Caruthers Building, New Town


Undertake general cleaning duties within the designated areas through the clinical areas of Alcohol & Drug Service South.

  • General cleaning of unit areas including removal of rubbish.

  • Utilisation of cleaning equipment on a daily basis.

  • Negotiating specific cleaning requirements with Nurse Unit Manager.

  • Ensures all equipment is in good working order and within the guidelines for safe work practices.

  • Reports broken or faulty equipment to the Nurse Unit Manager.

  • Assists with orientation and training of staff as required.

Essential Requirements

The Head of the State Service has determined that the person nominated for this job is to satisfy a pre‑employment check before taking up the appointment, on promotion or transfer. The following checks are to be conducted:

1. Conviction checks in the following areas:

a) Crimes of Violence
b) Sex Related Offences
c) Serious Drug Offences
d) Crimes involving dishonesty

2. Identification check

3. Disciplinary action in previous employment check
