Base Location: Reading

Salary:£32,851 - £43,385 + a range of other benefits to support your family, finances and wellbeing.

Working Pattern: Permanent | Full Time | Flexible working options available

What is the Role?

In this role you will be required to lead a team of analysts to secure, consolidate, analyse and provide accurate fact-based information for connections projects. To include the consolidation of a robust pre-construction pack for issue to the delivery partner, in line with SSEN guidance. To manage communication and paperwork regarding controllable costs during the project life cycle, including keeping the SSEN regulatory reporting tools up to date in real time. To monitor and update the portfolio tracker to ensure effective forecasting of projects expenditure and income. To effect completed projects into the financial closure process as soon as practicable. To track projects through a reporting tool and ensure all data is captured, including risk.

Key responsibilities in this role will include:

- Ensure that SSEN's customers remain at the core of every decision to ensure great customer service performance is delivered to meet and exceed customer and regulator expectations

- Operate a commitment-based, delivery-focused culture to build a solid programme of work with little disruption

- Ensure practices are in place for verification of internal and external legislative and governance requirements and relevant documentation is stored and managed in accordance with process

- Hold accountability for awareness of productivity, building understanding of how we drive efficiency and identifying and implementing appropriate actions to measure productivity results, the preparation of monthly reporting in a timely and accurate manner and the preparation of monthly and annual budgets and forecasts in line with business plans

- Provide a comprehensive overview of finance and productivity KPI's through reports and proactive engagement with the leadership team

What do I need?

To be considered for this role, we would love you to have:

- Strong management and organisational skills with experience of managing business plans and budgets to meet financial targets

- Sound understanding and experience of working with systems, finance, operational performance and utilisation and reporting

- Strong management and organisational skills with experience of reporting into Governance models

- Strong knowledge and experience in project management reporting

- Strong knowledge and experience of financial recording and monitoring systems
