Period of Employment

Fixed term full-time day work (with on-call), working 76 hours per fortnight commencing as soon as possible for approximately 9 months.

Engineering Services within the Royal Hobart Hospital


As a member of the Facilities Management and Engineering Services (FMES) Department you will:

  • assist with the development, management, coordination and implementation of minor works, maintenance and construction projects.

  • Provide technical support and advice in areas including project planning, design and coordination of minor capital works and other projects as directed.

  • Provide assistance with management and coordination of consultants, contractors, resources and activities to ensure minor works and projects are delivered in a timely and efficient manner.

Essential Requirements

The Head of the State Service has determined that the person nominated for this job is to satisfy a pre‑employment check before taking up the appointment, on promotion or transfer. The following checks are to be conducted:
1. Conviction checks in the following areas:
a) Crimes of Violence
b) Sex Related Offences
c) Serious Drug Offences
d) Crimes involving dishonesty

3. Disciplinary action in previous employment check
