$109,108 to $116,218 pro-rata, per annum

Please note that access to the progression point of Year 4Q salary of $116,218 is subject to successful completion of a relevant Master’s Degree as with Clause 10 of the Allied Health Professionals Public Sector Unions Wages Agreement 2019

Period of Employment

Permanent, part-time, shift work, working 57 hours per fortnight commencing as soon as possible.

Royal Hobart Hospital – Emergency Department


  • Develop exceptional working relationships with relevant medical, nursing and Allied Health to implement and guide a service that is high quality, sustainable, innovative and promotes growth into the future.

  • Participate in ongoing service development and strategic management of clinical Emergency Department physiotherapy services within the Royal Hobart Hospital in accordance with best practice and contemporary professional physiotherapy standards.

  • Act as a resource for education and training initiatives across Tasmanian Health Services – South in Emergency Physiotherapy drawing, in part, on collegial interaction with similar intra and interstate services to promote and maintain contemporary service delivery.

  • Draw upon professional competencies to improve clinical service outcomes through effective research and quality improvement activities and actively participate in state-wide and national research, publication and education for the clinical advancement of Emergency Physiotherapy. As a member of the physiotherapy service you will contribute to a learning culture and foster leadership, innovation and evidence driven patient care

Essential Requirements

  • Current registration with the Physiotherapy Board of Australia.

Desirable Requirements

  • Postgraduate tertiary qualifications relevant to this position and/or extensive experience working in this clinical area.
