Job Description:

Base Location: Petersfield, Aldershot, Portsmouth

Salary:£36,836 - £48,648 + car/car allowance + a range of other benefits to support your family, finances and wellbeing.

Working Pattern: Permanent | Full Time

What is the Role?

  1. Undertake all asset management functions for automated secondary equipment within the region, including installation, commissioning, inspection, maintenance and fault investigation and repair.
  2. Monitor daily defects report from NMC & log daily defects which have come in and prioritise these defects, then repair/investigate and log what repairs/actions were carried out.
  3. First point of call for all failures of automation schemes. Investigate failures, including download and initial interpretation of system logs. Identify failed plant and complete repairs. Identify, record and feed-back root cause.
  4. Carry out end to end onsite testing between Power On (NMC) and local test box at secondary site to prove communications and digital/control bits are working correctly.
  5. Undertake annual inspection and maintenance visits to all pole mounted circuit breakers and secondary substations with automations fitted.

What do I need?

To be considered for this role, we would love you to:

  1. Be authorised for HV Switching, LV works and works on pole mounted circuit breakers. Ideally have PTW SAP and be working towards SFT SAP
  2. Be approved for works on RTUs
  3. Have completed training in investigation of automations failures and electrical fitting
  4. Have good theoretical and practical understanding of electrical protection and control systems
  5. Have knowledge of batteries, battery chargers and competency in battery installations
