Job Description:

Duties

Lead a social work team to provide professional advice and services such as counselling, mediation, advocacy, advisory and information services for schools, students and families/caregivers to improve students’ well-being, achievement, access and participation

Period of Appointment

Ongoing - Start date of 19 July 2021

Hours per fortnight

45.60 hours per fortnight

Essential Requirements

A degree in social work from a university, Institute of Technology or College of Advanced Education or an equivalent award from a recognised overseas institution. The Commissioner has determined that the person nominated for this position is to satisfy a pre-employment check before taking up the appointment, promotion or transfer.

The Registration to Work with Vulnerable People Act 2013 requires persons undertaking work in a regulated activity to be registered. A regulated activity is a child related service or activity defined in the Registration to Work with Vulnerable People Regulations 2014. This registration must remain current and valid at all times whilst employed in this role and the status of this may be checked at any time during employment. • Current Tasmanian Registration to Work with Vulnerable People (Registration Status - Employment).

Desirable Requirements

A current driver's licence.
