Salary:£29,290 - £38,685 + a range of other benefits to support your family, finances and wellbeing.

What is the Role?

Our Transmission business has a large portfolio of projects across Scotland, and we are looking for a Lead Project Coordinator to join us on our journey.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Managing a team of Project Coordinators, forecasting the correct level of resource and making sure the project teams receive a high level of service. Confidentiality training and developing your Project Coordinator team.
  2. Delivering projects and making sure the team manages project accounts, raising purchase orders, making sure suppliers are paid on time and dealing with external supplier queries.
  3. Being able to lead a team along with working on several projects yourself, making sure your own workload and deadlines are met.
  4. Coordinating your own project portfolio, this will involve project team movements, calendars, meetings and necessary scheduling to make sure the project programme runs smoothly and efficiently. In this role, you will interact with key stakeholders for each project, liaising on project details and attending meetings where required.
  5. Travelling between our offices and project site offices will also be required, therefore a full clean driving licence is essential. Occasional overnight stays will also be required.

What do I need?

To be considered for this role, we would love you to have:

  1. Experience of working in a similar industry or working in a project team environment and an understanding of SSE/Transmission business is preferable.
  2. People management experience and the ability and confidence to train and develop staff.
  3. Experience of working to deadlines and the ability to manage a team’s workload, along with being flexible to deal with change.
  4. Past or present experience on managing project accounts and understanding the importance of making sure suppliers are paid on time.
  5. Vast experience of administration duties.
