Salary: Circa £35,000 depending on skills and experience + annual bonus

About our business

SSEN Transmission is at the forefront of tackling climate change, building and maintaining the critical national infrastructure required to connect and transport renewable electricity from where it is generated to where it is needed. We play a key role in supporting the UK and Scottish Government’s net zero emissions targets, as well as maintaining security of supply and keeping the lights on for the communities we serve.

As we enter our next price control period, which runs from April 2021 to March 2026, we have exciting plans to deliver A Network for Net Zero. Our plans will see us invest billions into the clean energy transition, creating 100s of highly skilled jobs with many more through our supply chain, supporting a green economic recovery from the coronavirus pandemic.

What is the role?

You will be part of the Corporate Affairs Transmission team, responsible for proactively protecting and enhancing the reputation of SSEN Transmission with key stakeholders, from our regulator, governments and elected representatives; to the communities we serve, the customers connected to our network and wider industry stakeholders.

An understanding of the energy sector and the associated infrastructure of regulated utilities would be advantageous.
