Job Description:

The Research Fellow – Bioinformatics has a significant leadership role in the group through influencing the direction of the bioinformatic work in the group, driving research to completion and publication and undertaking supervision of others.

The research focus of the group is the application of microbial genomics to clinical infectious diseases with emphasis on translational infectious diseases research and applying next generation sequencing technologies to the rapid diagnosis of infections.

Key requirements of the role are to supervise post-doctoral researchers and students and collaborate with researchers and clinicians and conduct analysis of high dimensional datasets from high throughput sequencing projects.
