Base Location: Perth or Glasgow

Salary: Up to £50,000 + car / allowance + performance-related bonus + a range of other benefits to support your family, finances and wellbeing.

What is the Role?

SSEN Transmission has a vacancy for a Performance & Assurance Manager to join our Business Planning and Commercial team.

Key Responsibilities of this role are as follows:

- Drive high levels of compliance and assurance in SSEN Transmission by acting as a coordination point to support cross business activities to implement performance, manage business level risks and regulatory assurance obligations across the organisation.

- Managing awareness and adherence of SSEN Transmissions licence obligations and associated business assurance requirements and ensuring the end-to-end processes are governed across the organisation to efficiently deliver optimal performance for our customers and stakeholders

- Development and implementation of governance controls, assurance and risk management necessary to achieve efficient and compliant business operation and support business separation requirements and the prohibition of cross-subsidy

- Monitoring the performance of the business and ensuring timely action is taken to maintain performance against plan.

- Collective responsibility for delivering of SSEN Transmission strategy, ensuring targets and risks are understood to drive performance to ensure SSEN Transmission's future success.

What do I need?

To be considered for this role, we would love you to have:

- Knowledge and understanding of GB regulatory environment, including statutory licence regulations and operating licence conditions. You should also have an understanding of external and internal risk factors and business governance, internal control mechanisms and the three lines of defence model.

- Proven experience leading and managing high-performing teams and a demonstrated ability to lead the development and delivery of complex strategic and operational initiative. You will have the tenacity and commitment to deliver outcomes to challenging timescales in a regulated environment, effectively balancing immediate and longer-term priorities

- Strong understanding and experience of risk management, with the ability to advise on the development and application of effective risk management at a business level

- Strong understanding and experience of assurance and auditing, with the ability to advise on the development and application of effective management

- Political awareness and ability to network (internally and externally) to represent the interests of SSEN Transmission
