Salary:£36,836 - £48,648 depending on experience + car/allowance

What is the Role?

In the role of SAP/Project Manager you will be responsible for optimising the delivery of 11kV plant replacement.; you will schedule work ensuring that priorities are dealt with, and work is delivered to meet programme and customer requirements. This role operates within a team, attending daily huddles to feedback progress and improvement opportunities, raising concerns and seeking validation for any queries and also supporting the Lead Manager in developing and coaching new members of staff in the team.

The main duties of this role will include: scheduling operations to deliver the plant replacement within time scales and on budget. You will deliver a customer-led productivity and performance culture for all staff within the team by planning and scheduling the teams in an efficient and effective manner by focusing on reducing cost, travel time, repeat visits and changes to the programme. Ensuring job closures are completed in a proficient and timely manner, highlighting anomalies and taking appropriate action to ensure that they are dealt with.

There will also be various operational administrative support duties including: preparing notices or permits to the required standard and timescales; ensuring that all NRSWA requirements are met through the programming of works and collation of paperwork for the central Street Works Team and preparing work packs for the operational teams to complete the jobs. You will also gather data to create and produce detailed reports to drive productivity, efficiency and highlight areas for concern.

What do I need?

In order to be considered for this role you will have previous experience of planning and scheduling work, you will have working knowledge of NRSWA, RIGS, GIS guidelines and processes and strong IT skills to effectively analyse performance data and use scheduling programmes. You will have appreciation of other business functions and an understanding of how a DNO operates and generates revenue and incentives within the current price control period.

With knowledge of the electrical distribution network and experience of working with operational voltages at 11kV. The ideal candidate will be able to switch on the operational network however training will be given to the successful candidate if further operational training and experience is required.

This role is suited to someone who has an understanding of relevant guaranteed and overall standards to support customer service strategies, a thorough understanding of local business plan derived from regulatory price control submission, an appreciation of unit cost / financial awareness and awareness of key stakeholders and customers for electricity distribution.

You will be organised, dynamic, able to embrace change, have excellent attention to detail and consistently seeking opportunity for improvement.
