About the team

The Rural Clinical School of Western Australia (RCSWA) is a network of 15 rural and remote sites across the Kimberley, Pilbara, Mid-West, Goldfields, Great Southern and South West regions of Western Australia. The School is administered by the University of Western Australia's (UWA) School of Medicine with a cross University executive from UWA, the University of Notre Dame (Fremantle School of Medicine) and Curtin University Medical School. The RCSWA is committed to providing quality teaching, research, professional development and clinical service in rural and remote settings.

This position is based in the Kimberley where RCSWA sites conduct collaborative research with health services into improving Aboriginal health and building research capacity.

About the opportunity

Under limited directions from Principal Research Fellow, Assoc/Prof Julia Marley and in close collaboration with the Kimberley Medical Services, you will provide impetus and capacity to research initiatives in the Kimberley region of Western Australia. You will focus on statistical analysis of real world health services data from current and future projects.

You will be a skilled health researcher who can contribute to the development of this exciting position. You will also have a genuine interest in Aboriginal health in rural and remote settings and a commitment to Aboriginal community consultation and control. In addition, you will enjoy working in a busy and varied collaborative academic environment, be comfortable working with a variety of community, Aboriginal Community Controlled and state government health service settings and be well organised to prioritise the different demands this position offers.
