Job Description:

The Head of School Office is very busy with both internal and external stakeholders and there are significant demands on supporting quality output and tracking multiple concurrent tasks. This role provides executive support to the Head of School. This requires a person with excellent organisation skills and communication skills. The position is part of the broader School Professional Staff team and has regular interactions across both professional and academic staff. The role reports to the Head of School and the School Manager.

The Executive Assistant provides administrative and executive support services to the Head of the Melbourne School of Psychological Sciences, ensuring a smooth workflow of the office. The role is of significant importance to the School and the incumbent is required to display a high level of discretion, independent judgment, attention to detail and professionalism whilst regularly interacting with internal and external stakeholders.

The Executive Assistant is expected to exercise confidentiality whilst undertaking a number of concurrent tasks demonstrating excellent organizational, prioritization and time management skills. The Executive Assistant flexibly contributes to team-based activities and projects, as well as performing tasks on an independent basis.

It is critical for the Executive Assistant to develop, create and maintain positive working relationships within the School, Faculty and University to ensure high quality and timely service deliver.
