Job Description:

The Role:

Are you intrigued by the idea of exploring Emergency Nursing, but not quite prepared to commit to it permanently?

The Emergency Department at North West Regional Hospital are seeking motivated RNs who would like to come and experience the ED and have the opportunity to enrol in the Emergency Department Transition Program (EDTP).

Reporting to the Nurse Unit Manager, you will contribute to the health outcomes of your patients through excellence in practice, fostering a learning culture, excellent communication skills and working effectively within a multidisciplinary team.

Emergency Department Transition Program (EDTP)

The NWRH ED offers the opportunity to be enrolled in the Emergency Transitions to Practice program (EDTP). EDTP is a 6-month program that aims to prepare you and advance your clinical skills and knowledge in relation to emergency nursing. Upon successful completion you will be eligible for a unit of credit toward a Post Graduate Emergency Nursing degree with University of Tasmania. You can complete the EDTP without enrolling for further post-graduate study.

Details of appointment:

Fixed term, part time, shift worker positions available, working up to 64 hours per fortnight, commencing from February 2025 until November 2025.

*notwithstanding hours to be negotiated with the successful applicant.

Applicants should note that, for a period of twelve months from the date of publication, this selection process may be used to fill subsequent or similar full time, part time, and casual vacancies.

Salary: $78,179 to $105,995 pro rata, per annum. Our Employer 11.5% superannuation contribution is on top of this amount.

Access to the Grade 4 salary range $99,455 - $105,995 is subject to successful application for progression to Grade 4

In addition, the following allowances calculated on the salaried incremental point may be available:

You’ll have access to salary package a range of benefits including living expenses up to $9,010 + $2,650 in meal entertainment each FBT year + other benefits if eligible.
