The Team:

Huon and Kingston Community Nursing provides comprehensive nursing care, assessment, referral, and clinical management to clients of all ages in their home. Community Nursing operates home visits and clinic appointments. All nursing staff work collaboratively across both the Kingborough and Huon municipalities. This provides exposure to a diverse range of presentations and high-level engagement with multidisciplinary healthcare teams.

Our team works closely together to deliver excellence in healthcare. We aim to achieve improved outcomes in partnership with our consumers, our workforce, and the Tasmanian community. Care and service delivery is provided with stunning backdrops, hills, pristine waterways, National Parks, World Heritage Area, D’Entrecasteaux Channel and Huon River.

The Role:

You will need:

  1. Current knowledge of, and the ability to apply nursing principles, procedures, and practices in the delivery of patient/client care in a designated practice area and in line with legal requirements and the Australian Nursing and Midwifery Board (ANMB) National Competency Standards for the Registered Nurse.
  2. Sound interpersonal and communication skills, including written skills and the ability to function effectively in a multidisciplinary team environment.
  3. Knowledge of continuous quality improvement (safety and quality) and the application of evidence-based practice in the practice setting.

Details of appointment:

Fixed term part time, shift worker position, working 56 hours per fortnight, commencing as soon as possible for a period of approximately twelve (12) months.

*notwithstanding hours to be negotiated with the successful applicant.

Applicants should note that, for a period of twelve months from the date of publication, this selection process may be used to fill subsequent or similar full time, part time, and casual vacancies.

Salary: $78179 to $105,995 per annum (Pro rata). Our Employer 11.5% superannuation contribution is on top of this amount.

Access to the Grade 4 salary range $99,455- $105,995 is subject to successful application for progression to Grade 4

In addition, the following allowances calculated on the salaried incremental point may be available:

You’ll have access to salary package a range of benefits including living expenses up to $9,010 + $2,650 in meal entertainment each FBT year + other benefits if eligible.
