The Team:

Withdrawal Services consists predominantly of the Statewide Inpatient Withdrawal Unit and a small Detox@Home Service. The Inpatient Withdrawal Unit is a 10 bed unit providing medically assisted withdrawal from alcohol and other drugs and is part of the broader Alcohol and Drug Service. All components of the service work closely together and with the community sector to deliver excellence in AOD treatment to improve outcomes for our clients and the Tasmanian community.

You will need:

  1. Demonstrated extensive clinical knowledge and experience relevant to the area.
  2. Decision making skills - Individuals will demonstrate capability to make rational and sound decisions based on a consideration of the facts and alternatives available, make quick decisions when required and will commit to definite courses of actions.
  3. Resilience - Individuals will demonstrate capability to persevere to achieve goals even in the face of obstacles, cope effectively with disappointments and setbacks and remain calm and in control under pressure.

Details of appointment:

Permanent, full time, day worker position, working 76 hours per fortnight, commencing as soon as possible.

*notwithstanding hours to be negotiated with the successful applicant.

Applicants should note that, for a period of twelve months from the date of publication, this selection process may be used to fill subsequent or similar full time, part time, and casual vacancies.

Salary: $122,365 to $129,060 per annum. Our Employer 11.5% superannuation contribution is on top of this amount.

In addition, the following allowances calculated on the salaried incremental point may be available:
