The Team:

Midlands Multipurpose Health Centre (MMPHC) is located in Oatlands, Tasmania. Oatlands is situated one hour north of Hobart and an hour and a half south of Launceston. MMPHC has 18 residential aged care (RAC) beds, a 24-hour urgent care centre, and 4 rural health beds. An additional 8 RAC beds will be added as part of a redevelopment planned for 2025. MMPHC works closely with THS-S and focus on delivering excellence in healthcare to achieve improved outcomes for our consumers, our workforce, and the Tasmanian community.

The Role:

Recruitment and management of Registered Nurses, Enrolled Nurses and Hospital care assistants, focussing on professional development and career development.

Working within the multidisciplinary team to ensure an excellent standard of care for residents and patients

Safety and Quality across both the Aged Care Standards and National standards - encouraging strong focus of quality improvement across the centre.

You will need:

  1. Demonstrated extensive clinical knowledge and experience in nursing in a Multi-Purpose Health Centre.
  2. Leadership skills – Individuals will demonstrate capability to promote a shared vision and purpose, and positively influence others (internally and externally) to ensure optimal client outcomes and build a culture of success, commitment and active contribution by all staff within the practice area.
  3. Initiative – Individuals will demonstrate capability to be adaptable and respond and adjust easily to change. They are proactive and self-directed and will seize opportunities and act upon them, ensuring improved outcomes for the practice area.

Details of appointment:

Permanent, full time, day worker position, working 76 hours per fortnight, commencing as soon as possible.

*notwithstanding hours to be negotiated with the successful applicant.

Applicants should note that, for a period of twelve months from the date of publication, this selection process may be used to fill subsequent or similar full time, part time, and casual vacancies.

Salary: $122,365 to $129,060 per annum. Our Employer 11.5% superannuation contribution is on top of this amount.

In addition, the following allowances calculated on the salaried incremental point may be available:
