Job Description:

The Team:

The successful applicant will work within a team of specialist pharmacists and pharmacy technicians under the direction of the Senior Pharmacist to provide pharmacy services across the area of Correctional Primary Health Services. This includes assisting in the coordination and provision of a comprehensive pharmacy service and working within a multidisciplinary team to achieve the best possible quality use of medicines across correctional facilities.

Correctional Primary Health Services provides general and specialist healthcare to men and women in prison and has health services in each Tasmanian prison in both Hobart and Launceston. This position is based at the Risdon Prison Hospital, a high security area. The occupant will have regular daily contact with prisoners in both the outpatient and inpatient areas.

The Role:

Assist in the coordination and provision of a comprehensive pharmacy service including clinical pharmacy, drug information, medication education, dispensing - including Webster packs - and impresting reviews in the area of Correctional Health to achieve the best possible quality use of medicines in CPHS facilities.

Details of appointment:

Fixed term, casual, position working as and when required, commencing as soon as possible for approximately twelve (12) months.

*notwithstanding hours to be negotiated with the successful applicant.

Applicants should note that, for a period of twelve months from the date of publication, this selection process may be used to fill subsequent or similar full time, part time, and casual vacancies.

Salary: $110,425 to $126,703per annum(Pro rata). Our Employer 11.5% superannuation contribution is on top of this amount.
